in my world I often battle
with what is–or isn’t
as I betray my emotions
for a time, I am willing to sacrifice

with what is– or isn’t
as each moment chases us to gray
for a time, I am willing to sacrifice
when there is a place for me in eternity

as each moment chases us to gray
I will be better–tomorrow
when there is a place for me in eternity
I will cast my worries into shadow

I will be better–tomorrow
but not now–later
I will cast my worries into shadow
with demons.

but not now–later
as I betray my emotions
with demons
in my world I often battle.
