Supernatural - One of my newly Favorited shows on television has been renewed: Supernatural! The hit paranormal drama, starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as the brothers Dean and Sam Winchester respectively, who were raised from day one to hunt the horrors that lie in the dark. Supernatural has been in the 9PM Eastern time slot since season six, where it has remained a hit even competing alongside other prime time shows such as Grimm and Fringe.
Although the show does not get much of the mainstream press–it owes it success to it incredible support system–its superb fan base. While many shows tend to lose their luster after being on the air for many years, Supernatural continues to draw in large amounts of viewers–again accredited to the many fans the series has online. There are multiple devoted fan sites and blogs on Tumblr dedicated to the show and its fascinating characters like an enchantingly set trap luring in the unsuspected.
Currently the show is in cliffhanger mode, Sam has been saved from the hallucinations of Lucifer left from his duration in Hell by the oh so heavenly Castiel (Misha Collins), and now the Winchesters and a small group of allies must save the world from the dreaded Leviathans.
Also returning to the CW 2012 – 2013 lineup is The Vampire Diaries, the channel’s highest rated show. Diaries is based on the book series of the same name and is popular mainly among teens, continuing the trend of the vampire teen drama genre. America’s Next Top Model will be returning to the CW alongside 90210, while Nikita and Gossip Girl have not been green lighted for more seasons at this time.
Seasons 1 through 6 of Supernatural are available on Netflix if you decided you wanted to catch up on the show before the new season begins–and I highly recommend that you do.

I’m just not sure about this. Since Sam’s return from hell, the show’s just not been as great as it was. Wish it had ended with Sam’s sacrifice.

Sadly I haven’t seen Season 7 just yet since it’s not available on Netflix. But from what I’ve heard, other fans have mixed reactions as well on season 7′s direction. I’m just glad to see Castiel again but I worry about him since he saved Sam :/
