DVD Review: NCIS: THE TENTH SEASON

CBS’ NCIS: The Tenth Season is welcoming to both old and new viewers. While there are plenty of investigation shows on television, NCIS has been going strong for over a decade and continues to improve and expand the series with its unique and detailed story and rich character development and event realism. If you are new to the NCIS television series be ready to involve yourself in a fresh, and engaging series despite whatever biases you may have towards situation police dramas.

The NCIS agents face a never ending barrage of criminals ranging from terrorists to serial killers. Just as in NCIS: LA a member of the NCIS crime team, Ziva’s (Cote de Pablo), is on the search for a mysterious murderer. This DVD compilation gives viewers an opportunity to relive their favorite and most powerful dramatic moments throughout the season. In addition, the 24-action-packed episodes is teeming with deleted scenes, audio commentaries, and a variety of exclusive featurettes that will keep viewers GLUED to the television set!

The characters of NCIS are to be complimented on well-performing each episode perfectly, and with such a well-rounded cast and essential to the popularity and survival of a show. There is a character for everyone, from the Gothic forensic specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) to the funny skirt chasing Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). NCIS’ characters are unique and has a lot to contribute to the show and are far from being mundane or shallow. The story in NCIS is consistent for a series of its type and does well in maintaining audiences interest by balancing both humor and drama in its repertoire without being “out of the box.”
