TRUE BLOOD, EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD, HBO

I ain’t Whoopi in ‘Ghost’!

True Blood Everybody Wants To Rule The World’ - Humans have begun to rise more aggressively this week, as we have come to discover former Sheriff Bud Dearborn (William Sanderson) was a member of the hate group nicknamed the Obamas because of the masks they wore. It seems the group was motivated to fight in what they deemed “World War IV” and to fight for a new law that stood for human rights–and human rights only. Just when we thought Bill (Moyer) couldn’t lose his mind any further, he decides to play traitor to Eric (Skarsgard). Someone needs to kick his ass already!

Sadly Alcide (Manganiello) wasn’t seen much in tonight’s episode. The Shreveport pack could sure use his help–considering JD (Herthum) is leading the group to heck in a hand basket, and had the nerve to allow Russell (O’Hare) to take Emma (Noelle) as a present for Steve (McMillian)! I hope Sam (Trammell) and Luna (Gavankar) hurry to find her in time.

Salome (Cervi) has convinced Bill he has been chosen by Lilith–something we know is a fallacy. He confesses to Eric that he is the midst of a spiritual crisis and no longer possesses a moral compass. Pure rubbish. These crazed cultists are delving deeper into the pits of insanity, and come to find out they’ve made some loser the Sheriff of Area Five! Eric has to go back to Fangtasia and handle his business for sure.

Lafayette (Ellis) seems to have returned to full sass level, and oh does it feel good! His medium skills were once again in service and Sookie’s (Paquin) grandmother was the latest spirit to use him to deliver a message. It was surprising (and random) to discover that Bud and his mistress Sweetie (Jennifer Hasty) were the group leaders. Fear aside, what was their motive? Maybe the show writers want to revitalize past characters for unspecified reasons.

The Ifrit business is over with Patrick (Foley) being the one who ended up dead. Did you really think they were going to kill Terry (Lowe) off the show? I was hoping they’d find a way to keep both guys alive to be honest. I wonder if anything else interesting will happen to their family or if they’ll return to “regular citizen” status. However, if so, that won’t remain for long as the world prepares for the outbreak of war.

While the season is coming to a pretty fair conclusion, I’m starting to feel that some parts of a different story lines do feel a little random, even though there are treats now and then (Pam and Tara getting along, Alcide, etc.). I still feel the Authority would have been a better leadership entity if all of the original members would have gone  to war with Russell and the Sanguinstas in a “united we stand” ordeal. Also, Jesus and Godric’s spirits need more screen time as guardians/guides.

Maybe Godric will show up to bring peace? Now that would be awesome.
