HBO – True Blood (May 22, 2012) – True Blood returns for a 12-episode season 5 after the climactic season 4 conclusion: Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) encounter with Marnie (Fiona Shaw) and emerged triumphant, however, Sookie’s confrontation with Debbie (Brit Morgan) may have consequences. The citizens of Bon Temps will face a new crisis of threats from unexpected places.
The Emmy®-nominated True Blood kicks off its 12-episode fifth season on SUNDAY, JUNE 10 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), episode #49 Turn! Turn! Turn! Exclusively on HBO. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the show takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source.
Season 5 hosts new cast members: Scott Forley as Patrick Devins – an Iraq war veteran who comes to Bon Temps to track down Terry Bellefleur, hid former comrade; Christopher Meloni as Roman, the Guardian of the Vampire Authority; Valentina Cervi as Salome, a Chancellor of the Vampire Authority; and Lucy Griffiths as Nora, another Chancellor of the Vampire Authority. I’ve added True Blood to my TV show review list for the summer. I will be sure to catch up on season 4 on HBOGO. I want to be good and ready for when the premiere debuts.

I haven’t seen season 4 but I plan on watching the entire season on Netflix before the show premiere–it will be all new to me honestly. Can’t believe I haven’t watched, the show is filmed here.

A few years back I went to the WB studios and drove past Merlotte’s. It’s smaller than I was expecting!
Season 4′s ok. Far from the best though. All got a bit silly, though it’s got some good bits.
