Love, Lie Here No Longer

Love Lie Here No Longer, Robert Frank's 'Merchandise'

foreboding heart
lonely and silent
alibis no longer comfort

silence:  a note to chastise
those who are riddled with
passion–used up

doors no longer open
to greet a broken heart
that boon with desire

lies wasted

follow the tears that trail
to a heart that bodes ill
of my death and fear of love

lie wasted

lust lives here no longer
for love anoint pain
and foretold bitterness

a repose for a
heart coerced
and felled bitter

lie wasted
