Summary:
LUMI is a 3D short--an animated film by Big Boom and the first animated film produced by bigboom.TV.
When I watched “Lumi,” a 3D animated short film by BIG BOOM, I am reminded of the S. E. Hinton‘s novel The Outsiders, when the character Ponyboy Curtis referenced one of my favorite poets, Robert Frost‘s poem Nothing Gold Can Stay I found myself all teary eyed:
“Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.”
What does this poem have to do with the animated film? In all truths, darkness and dawn are temporary. Nothing Gold, Can Stay. But as the darkness falls–the sun also rises. A bit of philosophical irony natures creates for us.
Lumi discovers his world by the light in his eyes. To Lumi, everything’s new. With lights for eyes, he goes about his world illuminating the darkness until he notices the stars–a wonder to behold. Then suddenly, the starlight fades and in the darkness as Grigro grows–along with poor little Lumi’s fears. But, just as the light sometimes goes out, so too, does the darkness. When Lumi opens his eyes, the light returns– as do the stars–and Grigo shrinks in the presence of light, so does Lumi’s fears.
Sometimes, all we may need to realize is that all we possibly need to do is to shine a little light on our bigger problems, and to realize that our big problems aren’t so very big and scary after-all.
Please enjoy LUMI, an animated film from the collaborative team at Big Boom.

Hi! Thank you very very much for displaying Lumi and also writing a great review for it! You actually got the meaning very very well. That’s great.
And if I may, I would like to request a small change to the publication, as the short film was a team effort and not only mine. Would you mind changing my name for Big Boom? That’s the studio behind the film.
Again, thank you very much for the exposure and the lovely words.
Jonnhy
