Lauren Cohan‘s character in AMC’s The Walking Dead, Maggie Greene has been upgraded to being a pivotal character in season 3. Introduced in the series the second season, and after having survived through brutal events as she and Glenn escaped Hershel’s farm–Maggie has been ‘leveled’ to a full series regular as reported by TVLine.
Thinking back to season two of The Walking Dead and considering near close calls Maggie experienced–also due to the series being unpredictable by not following the sequence of the comic book–I worried that Maggie would be one of the season’s early casualties. This is great news, for now she must make her way towards an eerie prison along with the group and eventually meet other main characters from the hit comic book; The Governor, portrayed by David Morrissey; and the character Michonne, portrayed by actress Danai Gurira. Still I remain skeptical–it is not guaranteed that she will live to see the end of this new season, as evidenced by the other prominent character deaths.
What I am certain of? Season three is guaranteed to be the most exciting one yet, consisting of a full 16-episode order premiering in two sets of eight episodes each. It’s a nice way to have the series on twice in a year. I wish HBO’s Game of Thrones series episode order worked out this way.
I must admit, it’s hard to wait for The Walking Dead to return. This hiatus sucks, even if it is just for a few months.

Hey there AIDY! I can’t wait for the new season to start. It’s funny because my kids are still trying to figure what we should watch during The Walking Dead’s time slot on Sundays. lol
I still haven’t read the comics (bad me!) but I plan on getting the hard cover books. I would love to have the actual comics but I think they’ll be too delicate and may suffer a disastrous end if my young one gets a hold of them because he wants to see zombies. lol

The comics are awesome and if the show proceeds, as it will, in line with the comics, season three will blow our minds. I love the show’s adaptability. It constantly changes to keep us guessing. Try purchasing the electronic version of the comic. They are transferable to all devices
