NBC has renewed fantasy crime-drama GRIMM for a second season!
It is not a secret that I am a HUGE fan of NBC’s GRIMM! After writing a review of every episode, after anguishing in every rant, Silas Weir Mitchell and David Giuntoli – will be back for another awesome season, with a 22-episode order! GRIMM was an early pick-up announcement for the network and, unsurprisingly, held its own on prime-time Friday nights, with an ever increasing audience when airing consecutively for several weeks.

“The freshman fantasy procedural has been a quiet surprise on Friday nights for the network, averaging a 1.5 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-to-49 demographic and 4.8 million total viewers.”
NBC’s GRIMM is a new drama series inspired by The Brother’s Grimm classic fairy tales. The series, written and jointly created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt, and Jim Kouf stars David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bitsie Tulloch, Reggie Lee, and Sasha Roiz. Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (Giuntoli) finds out that he is from a long line of criminal profilers known as “Grimms.” He quickly finds that it is his destiny to maintain the balance between humanity and the fairy-tale creatures of the world.
A new episode of GRIMM “Island of Dreams” will air on Friday, March 30th at 9/8c. You can still catch any missed episodes of show on NBC’s website.

Awesome, I love Grimm and it keeps getting better and better as the season goes on. I hope they keep expanding Monroe’s role as he is my favorite character, and I imagine he’s most people’s favorite character. Really looking forward to seeing how they expand on some of the more intriguing hints that they’ve been building through the season.
