“I’m just a man hiding in the corner with a camera–watching.”
Sacha Gervasi‘s HITCHCOCK (2012) – The new trailer for Sir Anthony Hopkins latest film debut today “Hitchcock.” The film follows Hopkins as Sir Alfred Hitchcock, the “Master of Suspense,” as he battled to get the film Psycho–a film he financed himself– to the big screen. Notably, Hopkin’s physical transformation is impressive–is posture and demeanor extremely favors Sir Alfred in nearly every manner, and it seems that many of Hollywood’s leading actors are taking to the artistry that is “make up” special effects. Recently, Joseph Gordon-Levitt transformed into a younger Bruce Wills in the recently released film LOOPER; and Daniel Day-Lewis, who bears an uncanny resemblance as President Abraham Lincoln in the film Lincoln.
Dame Helen Mirren will star as Hitchock’s wife and assistant director Alma Reville, and Scarlett Johansson looks absolutely stunning as the “victim” in the film, actress Janet Leigh. In addition to James D’Arcy as the late Anthony Perkins.

Hooray! Scarlett
For some reason, something about Hopkins keeps me from looking forward to this as much as I feel I should. I’m more excited for Helen Mirren and, of course, Scarlett, and the look at Psycho than I am about Hopkins as Hitchcock.
Perhaps it’s because I am only familiar with Hitchcock from behind the camera as opposed to Hitchcock being the focus of the camera. hmm. Does that make sense?

I know you are a Scarlett fan
I love her! What you said totally makes sense. I think that’s the true mystery about him is that no one really knows “who” he is. Well, I am sorta looking forward to this film, if anything for Mirren. Love her!
