NEW TRAILER: John Cusack in ‘The Numbers Station’

 John Cusack and Malin Akerman star in new action thriller!

The Numbers Station (2013) After failing to deliver the somber and lurid tales of Edgar Allan Poe in the 2012 suspense thriller The Raven, Cusack decides he will take a rest from the infamous author and become a special agent assigned to protect Malin Ackerman as she works at a numbers station in the middle of nowhere in the action thriller The Numbers Station. Danish director Kasper Barfoed, otherwise unknown outside of Denmark helms the action-thriller and writer F. Scott Frazier, known mostly for his work with video games.

After his latest mission goes disastrously wrong, veteran CIA black ops agent Emerson Kent (John Cusack) is given one last chance to prove he still has what it takes to do his job. His new assignment: guarding Katherine (Malin Akerman), a code operator at a top-secret remote CIA Numbers Station where encrypted messages are sent and received. When an elite team of heavily armed assailants lays siege to the station, Emerson and Katherine suddenly find themselves in a life-or-death struggle against an unknown enemy. With the station compromised and innocent lives at stake, they must stop the deadly plot before it’s too late.

Looks as though there will be plenty of action and kick in when some unknown person begins shooting at Cusack, and it appears it has a lot to do with whatever code being communicated at the numbers station. Overall, the trailer looks awesome despite it looking a lot like something we probably have already seen before and probably will see again.
