Ostrov

Richard Renaldi's Lake McDonald, 2006

Ostrov means ‘island’

Only for a while longer
the gentle breeze gives way
to pondering blissful wonder
never alone in thought.

the gentle breeze gives way
id and ego converge with reason
never alone in thought
in solitude and uncertainty.

id and ego converge with reason
away troubles–yet I sail
in solitude and uncertainty
in dreaming fascination!

away troubles–yet I sail
pondering blissful wonder
in dreaming fascination
only for a while longer.
