NEW TRAILER: Disney’s ‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’

THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN - Disney - In theaters August 15th

There’s a lot of love in those pair of socks.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green - (May 11, 2012) is releasing a new charming family movie entitled The Odd Life of Timothy Green, starring Jennifer Garner (Juno, Arthur (2011)) and Joel Edgerton (The Thing, Warrior) as married couple Cindy and Jim Green. The two are madly in love with each other, however they feel there is something missing in their lives–a child. One night, the Greens write the ideal qualities they wish for their future child to possess on pieces of notepad paper, place them into a wooden box, and bury it in their garden.

A mysterious wind begins to blow and the next day, a child (CJ Adams) covered with dirt appears in their home. He announces his name as Timothy and says he sprouted from the garden. Immediately the couple knew their wish came true and now must help their new son adjust to life in their small town of Stanleyville.

Peter Hedges (Dan in Real Life), the Academy Award® nominated director and writer behind What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, is the mind behind Timothy Green. So far, as the trailer shows, the film seems very sweet and has a warm feeling to it. The cinematography seems to carry this theme of family togetherness, and seeing hip-hop star Common near the end of the trailer was a pleasant surprise. The film is based on an inspired idea by Ahmet Zappa, American writer, producer and publisher.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green is indeed a film for the entire family. Check it out in theaters August 15, 2012.
