Meet Ralph. Heavy handed wrecking riot, with a heart.
Disney‘s WRECK IT RALPH (2012) – I absolutely cannot wait for this arcade-game-hopping adventure, in addition to seeing John C. Reilly voice act “Ralph,” a under appreciated video game “bad guy.” Based on the 1982 arcade game Fix It Felix Jr., “Ralph” has been overshadowed by Felix Jr. (Jack McBrayer) the “good guy” and star of their game, who always gets to save the day. It isn’t any wonder why Ralph want to change his video-game persona and do something good for a change. So, what does an intended bad guy has to do to change his image? He journeys across all arcadedom to prove that he has what it takes to be a hero!
Ralph is a heavy-handed wrecking’ riot with a heart. For 30 years—day in, day out—he’s been doing his job as “The Bad Guy” in the arcade game Fix-it Felix Jr. But it’s getting harder and harder to love his job when no one seems to like him for doing it. Suffering from a classic case of Bad-Guy fatigue and hungry for a little wreck-ognition, Ralph embarks on a wild adventure across an incredible arcade-game universe to prove that just because he’s a Bad Guy, it doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy.

Wreck It Ralph will include a number of game-inspired characters. Surge Protector will be the one with the clipboard. Duties include being a high school hall monitor and the “officiousness” of a mall rent-a-cop, he is more of a hassle than he is of help. Those electrical spikes on his head are of no laughing matter! Q*Bert, a game that was long ago unplugged, will be there, and Coily, the bouncing purple snake now find himself hanging with his former adversary. Neff, the fierce Purple Rhino, (purple is the New Black) is back. As “Altered Beast’s” resident evil wizard–Neff is a natural for the Bad-Anon (a video game villain support group) meeting roster.
Many fans of the Street Fighter (Fighting Street the original 1987 arcade game) will be happy to see a couple of their favorite character personas in Wreck It Ralph. M. Bison, who made his debut video game appearance in Street Fighter 2 tames his bad-guy habits at Bad-Anon and last but not least Zangief who is also not a bad guy who made his debut appearance in Street Fighter 2 is a regular at the Bad Anon meeting. In addition, other Bad-Anon members will include: Beholder, Clyde the ghost from Pac-Man, Kano from Mortal Kombat, Dr. Robotnik from Sonic The Hedgehog, Smoke from Mortal Kombat, and the Zombie Cyril the brown-shirted zombie from House of the Dead.
