NEW TRAILER: Now With “More Gollum” Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit’

“Thief Baggins! Curse it and crush it! We hates it forever!”

Peter Jackson, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey –  In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of publication of Tolkien’s The Hobbit and Worldwide Hobbit Day, which will mark the birthdays of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins on the 22nd of September, Jackson, Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, and Metro Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) are joining in on the celebration. In anticipation, fans are rewarded with the highly anticipated, full-length trailer for The Hobbit, and I tell you my friends, what a marvel to behold!

The new trailer makes if debut online today, and in theaters around the world today–a bold viewing of what’s to come this December 14th in theaters. This is the second trailer for the Hobbit film.

If you remember from the first Hobbit trailer  we only got to see bits and pieces that reminded us more of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy of films. However, it was then we were introduced to Martin Freeman, and what to expect in his role as Bilbo Baggins. At that time, we only got a tease of Andy Serkis‘ Gollum character. We got to hear him, but not really see him that is, until now. Gollum is the highlight of this trailer and what a phenomenal appearance!

It was confirmed in early July that Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be split into three films. The second film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will premiere in theaters on December 13, 2013. Smaug, one of the last of the great dragons of Middle Earth, will be voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Atonement). The third film The Hobbit: There and Back Again will be released in the summer of 2014.

So take a moment, and watch while Gollum and Bilbo have a chat.
